Occasionally she will cloak as if the attack is going to work but it then fails and she will reappear. She will tell you if she cannot make a particular strike. Even though it's a "teleporting" attack, Kasumi can't use Shadow Strike on enemies in areas unreachable by Shepard, or in places with particularly torturous terrain. The power type of Shadow Strike is actually split between combat and tech-it gains the bonus for reduced cooldown from the tech upgrade but the damage type is combat, so the damage tech upgrade has no effect.Husks will be instantly killed by Shadow Strike even on higher difficulties where they possess armor. The incapacitation (knockdown) only takes effect if the target is unprotected or if the strike's damage carries through to their health. ![]() This is very useful against powerful units such as Harbinger, Scions, and YMIR Mechs, or against enemies with rocket launchers as they sometimes blow themselves up by firing at Kasumi point-blank when she appears next to them. Besides directly damaging the enemy, this power also has a distracting effect, as enemies will often turn to attack Kasumi when she appears in their midst, ignoring their previous targets. ![]() If the player is manually casting Shadow Strike to order Kasumi to use it, targeting works similarly to any other power in that there must be a clear, unobstructed view of the intended target at the moment of casting for Kasumi to follow the order or she will say she can't do it.Even without taking this multiplier into account, Shadow Strike deals more single-target damage than any other squadmate power. Shadow Strike has a 2x damage multiplier against shields, armor and barriers. The power only starts recharging once Kasumi returns. Using this power, Kasumi cloaks, appears behind her target and delivers a devastating sneak attack, then re-cloaks and returns to her previous location where she again uncloaks.Reduces the cooldown by 80% if the target is killed by this power. ![]()
